Watching Cameroon through the lenses of the African Declaration on Internet Rights and Freedoms

With APC support, PROTEGE QV is carry out  and implementing in Cameroon from July 2017 to May 2018 the project intitled: 
"Watching Cameroon through the lenses of the African Declaration on Internet Rights and Freedoms"

This project is a research that will provide reliable information about Cameroon’s attitude towards the key principles outlined in the African Declaration on Internet Rights and Freedoms. As such, it falls in line with the point 2.6 of the the Key Result Area (KRA) 2 : “Conduct and disseminate rights related research to inform policy and advocacy”. As a matter of fact, papers that will be published will provide a clear picture of the country’s situation with regard to areas of concern surrounding each key principle and particular focus placed on the threats, violations, trends and opportunities. 

Objective

The main objective of our project is to provide an accurate picture of Cameroon’s situation when it comes to the 13 key principles outlined by the African Declaration on Internet Rights and Freedoms.
